Meet Po-Shin

I’m a UK-based artist who creates one-of-a-kind artwork capturing the beauty of Taiwanese architecture. My work includes mixing traditional temples with everyday buildings.

Inspired by my childhood trips visiting relatives in Taiwan, I delve into the significance of cultural identity. With the small country’s rapid development, I use my art to explore how the nation keeps up with its own identity and my own memories from each passing trip.

I primarily use oil paint for my art, adding a recurring variety of materials and motifs to manipulate and embody the passage of time, erosion and movement. I prefer to use a mix of muted tones to contrast with the brighter, bold colours of the temples.
